But one major problem: I live smack in the middle of The Bible Belt. I don't want to offend or frighten any of the bars and their owners by calling (not a major violence thing around here, but it has been known to happen for the hicks to target gay establishments or people), and if I go in and ask around I'm afraid I'll end up stoned or something by the rednecks in this area. I've been to drag shows before and have had a blast; In fact, they've been some of the best parties I've been to in my life, since everyone was so laid back and just enjoying a good time. I mentioned this to my girlfriends, and now they want to come see one, too, and left me in charge of trying to find one in this area. Another "Drag Night" in an open bar is really what I'm looking for, one that's more interactive than the more formal "on stage" pageant acts. But I'm unfamiliar with who to contact in the Joplin or Springfield, MO area to find out any more information. The website (singular, no more information appeared to be available except for drag racing) was a direct link to an antivirus and anti-spyware site, so no information seems to be forthcoming there.
